FAQ
When should I repair my system?
If your unit runs smoothly most of the time, and is new to 8 years old but isn’t working like it used to, you should consider some maintenance work from a professional. Common problems l include clogged drain lines, a broken limit switch, or faulty ignition. If you notice that your furnace is still under 8 years old, it is most likely in need of maintenance and not a complete replacement. n that you want to share with your visitors.
When should I replace my system?
Heating and cooling systems lose efficiency as they age, making them run longer to provide the same amount of heat or a/c. Systems that are 15 years or older are more costly due to the need for regular repairs. The cost of repairs is 50% or more than the cost of a new high-efficiency unit.
How long should my new system last?
A system is as good as the proper conditions it is operated under as per the owner's manual, and with regular inspections and maintenance a good air conditioning unit lasts from 12-15 years, and a good furnace system can last over 20 years.
How much will my system cost?
This is dependent on how many windows you have, what direction they face, how old your windows are, what kind of insulation your home has, if your basement is finished or not, your home's proximity to a body of water, and the overall size of the house. Once the unit size is determined, the efficiency can be determined, and then we can select a brand that best suits those needs.
